Ashley Sutton claimed a commanding victory in Race 2 of the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone’s National circuit in Towcester, Northamptonshire, on 27 September 2026. Sutton crossed the line in a time of 21 minutes 16.062 seconds to take the top step of the podium, with Adam Morgan finishing second and Charles Rainford completing the rostrum in third place. Tom Ingram rounded out a closely contested midfield battle in eighth, with Aiden Moffat ninth and Josh Cook completing the top ten, the latter finishing 19.401 seconds behind the race winner.

Sutton’s victory and the championship title it secured represent a landmark achievement in the driver’s career, the fifth crown placing him in historically distinguished company within British touring car racing. The result will provide considerable momentum heading into the remaining rounds of the 2026 season, with Sutton having demonstrated both strategic acumen and outright pace in converting a lowly grid position into maximum points. Tom Chilton, Gordon Shedden and Lewis Selby were among those classified outside the top ten, completing a full field of finishers.
