Man left with fractured jaw after assault outside Canterbury East station

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a fractured jaw and other facial injuries during an alleged assault by a group of men on Station Road East at around 11.30pm on Saturday 18 July 2026.

A man was left with a fractured jaw and further facial injuries after he was allegedly assaulted by a group of men outside Canterbury East train station at around 11.30pm on Saturday 18 July 2026. The alleged assault followed a verbal altercation between the victim and the group — men unknown to him — which led to the assault. He was treated at a local hospital and has since been discharged.

Police were notified on 19 July 2026. Officers spoke to several witnesses who were present at the scene, but are continuing their inquiries and would like to hear from anyone with relevant information who has not yet contacted police.

Anyone who was in the Station Road East area that night and has not yet spoken to police is being asked to come forward.
